Copenhagen, Denmark

Even though we were only in Denmark two nights (like most places), we had a wonderful time visiting with friends and getting to know a little bit more about one of the three Scandinavian lands where Ahn gets her height from. First we took the train from Berlin and it literally went onto the ferry, which we took across the sea. Then we were happily greeted by Bodil, who is the mother of Charlotte, Ahn's good friend from Aix. Charlotte is studying in Australia, so it was sad not to see her, but meeting and staying with her parent's was a treat. Bodil took us on a quick car tour of the city, and we got a firm "stay back" with a gun pound to the ground from a Royal Guard...the fear can be seen on Ahn's face in that picture. When we got to their house, Sven and Bodil had prepared a delicious Danish dinner for us. The next day we took a boat tour of Copenhagen, walked around the Royal Palace, and ended the day perusing Tivoli. Charlotte's boyfriend, Esben (who we had met before in NYC) was great company and fun to see again.
