Munich, Germany

Munich was one of our favorite cities. We were able to see a few churches, eat some delicious sausages, and drink good beer. What more could you ask for?

Innsbruck, Austria

Innsbruck, Austria was a beautiful and somewhat random spot for us to stop. Thank goodness for John, travel agent extraordinaire, who told us to go there. The town was home to the Winter Olympics in '64 & '76, and we had the privilege of eating lunch at the top of a ski slope overlooking the entire city. If ever you go to Austria, go to Innsbruck.

A day in Marseille

Our day in Marseille started off with a boat ride to the Chateau d'If, which was made famous by the fictional story of the Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. Afterward we made our way up to Notre-Dame de la Garde. Marseille is a dirty town, but it sure looked nice from a distance.

Aix-en-Provence

Aix, one of my favorite places in the world. It was such a treat to take Grant to the town I lived in while we were dating in college (and try some delicious crêpes). My "host mom", who I call the Countess, from my time in Aix was kind enough to have us stay with her and the two girls from Gordon who are currently living there. It was such a wonderful time to see people and places that I have so many memories from and to share them with Grant. Since it was the end of Gordon's semester there, we were invited to a very nice dinner with all the students and their host families. My French 3 and a half years later? Not good. -Ahn
